Atalanta are continuing their efforts to get Jordan James from Birmingham City, believing that the kid may develop with them and then be sold for a large profit in the not-too-distant future.
The 19-year-old is under contract with Birmingham City until June 2025, with the Championship club having the opportunity to extend it by another year.
As a result, they’re not under any great pressure to capitulate and accept anything Atalanta has to offer. James has appeared in 26 games for Birmingham City this season, playing in a range of midfield positions, and is definitely an essential member of the side.
According to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, Atalanta is exerting pressure on James and is about to make a new offer.
According to Galetti, “talks are ongoing,” and James “wants to move.”
Prima Bergamo, a local to Atalanta, reports that the player’s “approval is total,” and that there are no problems.
Birmingham City are claimed to have rejected three proposals thus far, and the clubs’ stances are ‘remote’.
The Prima Bergamo state talks are still ongoing, and patience is required.
