Newcastle United fans will appreciate Bruno Guimaraes’ seven-word post following Sunderland’s victory.
Bruno Guimaraes has responded well to Newcastle United’s win over arch rivals Sunderland.
The Brazilian was one of the standout performers as the Magpies demonstrated Premier League class to win their first Tyne-Wear derby in 12 years.

Guimaraes set up the opener with a one-two with Joelinton, whose cross was pushed into his own net by Dan Ballard.
Just after halftime, Pierre Ekwah gave Newcastle a second goal when Miguel Almiron robbed the Black Cats midfielder of possession and unselfishly put up Alexander Isak.
Isak then scored from the penalty spot in the 90th minute after Anthony Gordon was fouled by Ballard.
Guimaraes took to X after the game to tell fans how he “predicted” United’s 3-0 victory. Soon after joining Newcastle, the midfielder defeated Sunderland 3-0 on FIFA.
The seven-word post, “I knew it a long time ago,” made co-owner Mehrdad Ghodoussi laugh. He responded by using two laughing emoji.
Newcastle’s win over Sunderland was their first in the Tyne-Wear derby in 12 years. The last time the two clubs played was nearly eight years ago.
