This month, Jack Clarke has been the target of yet another Premier League club.

Sunderland did well to turn off two proposals from Burnley for Jack Clarke in the summer, but his play this season has only increased the desire.

After scoring 12 goals in 26 Championship games, the winger has been linked with Premier League clubs such as Brentford, Crystal Palace, and Brighton.

The Black Cats have already been warned that ‘vultures will be circling’ as clubs prepare to make a play for Clarke in the January transfer window, and another club has recently joined the race to sign him.

West Ham are reportedly interested in Jack Clarke, whom Tony Mowbray has described as a “super talent.”

The Hammers are hoping to finish the season strongly after finishing top of their Europa League group, and according to the source, they are searching for replacements after releasing Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals.

Clarke isn’t their only target, with David Moyes’ team also keeping an eye on Ajax’s Steven Bergwijn.

Sunderland have made it clear that they want to keep Clarke this month, and negotiations over a new contract have already begun, 18 months after he signed a £15,000-per-week four-year agreement.

Should Sunderland’s Jack Clarke leave?

Sunderland, on the other hand, are going through a difficult period on and off the field right now, and despite sitting in sixth place, their chances of gaining promotion appear to be dwindling.

It would not surprise me if the club’s current predicament allows Jack Clarke to depart, as it does not appear that we will be the greatest location for him to be for the next six months.

We’re playing dull football, struggling to win games, and the climate surrounding the club is very sour.

I wouldn’t blame him for leaving, but I also know he’s our best shot of making the playoffs. Any trade for Amad Diallo appears to be off the table, but a move for someone like Kieffer Moore could boost our chances.

Even though Nazariy Rusyn has impressed in recent games, the forward has been extensively linked with a move to Wearside and would be just what we need up top.

Bringing in a proven striker would definitely thrill Clarke, who appears to be a long way from matching his 12 assists in the Championship last season.
