According to reports, Chaka Traore is about to leave AC Milan on a deadline day loan deal, with Palermo agreeing to the terms.
Traore had a wonderful start to 2024, scoring against Cagliari in the Coppa Italia and then against Empoli in the league, but it is believed that he requires more guaranteed minutes to continue his growth.
A number of clubs were connected with a deal for the Ivorian, but Di Marzio says that Serie B side Palermo has won the race to get him and will welcome him before the deadline.
The Rosanero completed the purchase of the Ivorian on an initial loan basis, with an option to buy set at €10 million and a 15% resale clause in favour of Milan. There is no mention of a buyback in the report.
In recent days, he had received substantial interest from Lausanne in Switzerland and West Bromwich Albion in England, but Palermo’s formula and pitch eventually satisfied both the club and the player.
Traorè joined Milan from Parma in August 2021 and quickly established himself as a prominent member in Ignazio Abate’s Primavera squad before being promoted to the first team. A fresh experience awaits.
