The great Kansas City Chiefs quarterback has welcomed the dad-bod comments: “I got kids!!!”
Patrick Mahomes, an NFL star, is embracing his “dad bod” following a shirtless selfie on X.
“Yoooo, why do they have to do me like that!?!?!?” the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and father of two captioned the locker room shot, which included laughing emojis and the hashtag #DadBodSZN.
The image was a snapshot from a video in which Chiefs coach Andy Reid announced that the squad was going to the Super Bowl on February 11.

Patrick, thrilled (and shirtless), screamed, “Great job today. As I’ve been saying, we ain’t done yet,” before leading a team shout.
Patrick later wrote in another X message, “Like I got kids!!!!”
X seized on the opportunity to mock Patrick, citing “pregnancy sympathy fat,” “a lighting issue,” and his “peak male athletic form.”
Patrick’s shot was compared to another viral image from this month, in which Jason Kelce, the brother of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, cheered shirtless for his brother’s touchdown.
Fortunately, Patrick has a sense of humor.
The athlete married Brittany Mahomes, a former college soccer player. They have a 2-year-old daughter, Sterling Skye, and a 1-year-old boy, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon.
Patrick likes being a father, he told People in 2021.
“I’ve grown a lot in my first few years in the NFL, and I’ve had to take on a lot of responsibility,” Patrick explained to the outlet. “But nothing’s like having a kid and having someone that you’re going every single day knowing that you’re trying to take care of.”
Patrick also complimented his wife for being a “champion mom.” And he’s clearly loving being a father.
“It’s been a lot of fun and to be able to come home every single day and see her and how energized she is and how she’s changing and growing already,” Patrick told People about his daughter, adding, “I’m just trying to tell her to slow down.

The quarterback and his then-fiancée announced they were expecting their first child on September 29, 2020, just weeks after proposing at Arrowhead Stadium.
Brittany posted on Instagram, “Mom and Dad, taking a small detour to the wedding❤️.” The couple used their dogs, Steel and Silver, to announce their gender.
Sterling Skye Mahomes was born February 20, 2021.
The couple announced the birth of their first child with synchronized Instagram posts, including a shot of the newborn grasping her parenKansas City Chiefsts’ fingers and mom Brittany wearing a dazzling nameplate necklace that read “Sterling.”
Sterling’s parents kept her face disguised for the first several days after she arrived.
