The San Francisco 49ers have no fondness for the Kansas City Chiefs.
That’s not surprising, given that Andy Reid’s team defeated them in the Super Bowl four years ago, and that wound has yet to heal completely.
Notably, the Niners have one of the largest and most devoted fan following in all of sports, and it wasn’t long before they made their presence known in the Super Bowl.
Multiple Niners fans booed Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce, but he appeared unconcerned.
When asked about it, the future Hall of Famer said they were just building him up, adding that he wanted to play them right now (via Around the NFL).
Ya’ll are getting me fired up, and I want to play right now, sweetheart!” Kelce stated.
Kelce earned some scorn and criticism this season because his production fell short of his usual standards, with some blaming it on his romance with pop sensation Taylor Swift.

He responded by dominating the playoffs, including an 11-for-11 performance with over 100 yards and a touchdown against the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship.
If history has taught us anything, it is that you should never poke a bear, and Kelce is an excellent example of this.
The Niners have more than enough defensive resources to try to restrict him, assuming that is feasible.
But the supporters might prefer to leave that to the actual players, as they don’t want to throw gasoline to the fire.
