Joe Barry, former Packers defensive coordinator, has apparently found a new home.
According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Media, Barry will join Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel’s staff. Barry will serve as the team’s linebackers coach and run game coordinator.
The Packers dismissed Barry after they were eliminated from the playoffs last month. He spent three years on Matt LaFleur’s Green Bay staff before being removed of his job. Barry has coached linebackers for various teams and previously served as defensive coordinator in Washington and Detroit.
The Dolphins named Anthony Weaver as their new defensive coordinator. Anthony Campanile, the team’s linebackers coach in 2023, also interviewed for the position, but it is unknown what, if any, role he will play on this year’s coaching staff.
