Charlton Athletic trial latest
Charlton is not the only club that has recently shown interest in Fosu. According to journalist Tom Bogert on X, he was on trial at Charlotte FC in the MLS last month, where Dean Smith is currently in charge.
The forward is considering his next step in the game and risks going the entire season without a club if he doesn’t find one quickly.
Fosu played for the Addicks from 2017 to 2019, having previously been on Reading’s roster.
Before joining Oxford United, he appeared in 65 games for the London club, scoring 11 goals.
Brentford signed the Ghana international, who already has four caps, in 2020.
Fosu appeared in 63 matches for the Bees, scoring five goals, and spent time on loan at Stoke City and Rotherham United in the Championship.
Charlton has been considering a potential move for him as Nathan Jones tries to expand his options. However, he will not join them for the time being.
The Addicks have been in decent form recently in League One, and they return to play this weekend with an away trip to Fleetwood Town.
