Three new fitness concerns have emerged for Chelsea ahead of their Premier League match against Burnley on March 30.
The Blues entered the international break on a high following thrilling triumphs over Newcastle United and Leicester City in the Premier League and FA Cup last week.

On the injury front, Mauricio Pochettino had a significant boost with Ben Chilwell recovering from a knee ailment and Benoit Badiashile overcoming a groin issue to participate as replacements in the latter of those games.

However, Chelsea have had to deal with persistent injuries this season, and it appears that Pochettino will need to keep a close eye on the remaining international matchups.

Cole Palmer, Malo Gusto, and Carney Chukwuemeka have all missed a number of games since traveling to represent their respective countries.

While Palmer’s illness has not been revealed, the playmaker was forced to leave England training sessions earlier this week and has since been ruled out of Saturday’s match against Brazil at Wembley Stadium.

As things stand, the 21-year-old will remain with the Three Lions group ahead of Tuesday’s match against Belgium, though it is uncertain whether he will be allowed to participate.

Gusto has been permitted to return home after dropping out of France’s Under-23s squad, which is preparing for the Olympic Games, due to illness.

The right-back had already played 90 minutes against Newcastle and Leicester, and now has a week to rest for the game against Burnley.

Chukwuemeka entered the international break on a high after scoring one of two important goals against Leicester, his first noteworthy contribution since the second weekend of the season.

He had intended to improve his match fitness with England Under-21s against Azerbaijan on Friday, but he was unable to participate owing to a knock sustained in training.

The 20-year-old might return against Luxembourg on Tuesday before making his claim for a starting spot in Pochettino’s squad.

Chelsea will be missing Reece James, Wesley Fofana, and Lesley Ugochukwu for the match against Burnley, but Levi Colwill, Romeo Lavia, and Christopher Nkunku might all return.
