How will the Kansas City Chiefs improve their roster in the hopes of winning their third Super Bowl in a row?
Mike Tannenbaum, a former NFL general manager turned ESPN pundit, has published his newest 2024 NFL mock draft as the annual event approaches in less than a month. Tannenbaum’s most recent mock has the two-time defending Super Bowl champions adding some protection around franchise quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
“The defending Super Bowl champions could use a young, rising offensive lineman, especially because Donovan Smith is a free agent and Jawaan Taylor battled with penalties last season. Morgan has prototypical size at 6-foot-5 and 311 pounds, the footspeed to mirror and redirect, and valuable experience (37 starts). However, his arms are short at 32â…ž inches and he needs to strengthen his lower body.
Kansas City Chiefs’ Continued Their Dynasty in 2023
Fresh off their 2022 Super Bowl championship season, the Kansas City Chiefs were primed for another title run in 2023. However, things did not go as planned when they started their campaign this season. Patrick Mahomes lacked his regular offensive weapons, and his one constant, Travis Kelce, struggled with injuries early in the season. This time, the defense stood up, and for the first time in his career, Mahomes and the offense only needed to be good enough to win the championship. Mahomes and the offense accomplished this as the defense continued to dominate, resulting in Andy Reid’s team winning the coveted Lombardi Trophy for the second consecutive season.
