Bruno Guimaraes hinted at his future after Newcastle United beat West Ham at the weekend.
Following Newcastle United’s 90th-minute victory over West Ham on Saturday, Bruno Guimaraes took to social media to give a huge indication about his future with the club.
Multiple clubs have expressed interest in the Brazilian, and new reports suggest that Paris Saint-Germain is keeping a close eye on him.
And Guimaraes, who has a £100 million release clause, was upfront about his unhappiness with how the season was going for Newcastle, which raised some concerns about his future at the club.
It has also been speculated that Newcastle may sell the midfielder this summer to bolster their team in accordance with Premier League Profitability and Sustainability Rules. Speaking ahead of Brazil’s friendly against England at Wembley, Guimaraes said: “I don’t know exactly. I’m not involved with that. We never know what may happen, but I am delighted with the club. Of course, I’m upset with our season, but I believe we still have a chance to finish at least seventh in the Europa League or the Conference League.
“But I can’t say much about the club’s workers. I’m not sure what will happen in the future, but I can say that I’m grateful for Newcastle.”
However, following United’s 4-3 triumph against West Ham on Saturday, Guimaraes spoke out on social media about his love for the club, implying that he may not be leaving.
“My whole life in our stadium, this can’t get any better,” he wrote alongside a photo of his wife Ana and son Matteo. Guimaraes married his long-term fiancée Ana last summer, and they had their second son, Pietro, last month.
Newcastle United return to action on Tuesday, hosting Everton at St James’ Park (7:30pm kickoff).
