Gary O’Neil is ‘optimistic’ that Pedro Neto will play for Wolves again this season, while young striker Leon Chiwome has sustained a season-ending injury.
Neto last played on March 9, when he sustained his second serious hamstring injury of the season, which was feared to end his season prematurely.

But O’Neil says the 24-year-old is back on the grass and could be available for the final few games of the season.

In a ray of hope for Wolverhampton Wanderers fans, manager Gary O’Neil has expressed optimism regarding the early return of star winger Pedro Neto. Neto has been sidelined since sustaining a serious knee injury last May, but recent developments indicate a swifter recovery than initially anticipated.

Speaking to reporters ahead of Wolves’ upcoming clash against Manchester City, O’Neil provided updates on Neto’s rehabilitation progress. “Pedro has been working incredibly hard in his recovery journey, and we are cautiously optimistic about his return,” stated O’Neil. “He’s shown remarkable determination and resilience throughout this process.”

Neto’s absence has been deeply felt by Wolves, with the Portuguese winger establishing himself as one of the club’s standout performers prior to his injury. His dynamic playing style and ability to create scoring opportunities have been sorely missed on the pitch.

While initially ruled out for an extended period, Neto’s dedication to his recovery regimen has impressed the coaching staff. O’Neil emphasized the importance of patience and ensuring Neto’s return is managed carefully to prevent any setbacks.

“We won’t rush Pedro back prematurely. His long-term health and fitness are paramount,” affirmed O’Neil. “But seeing his progress firsthand fills us with optimism that he could make an earlier comeback than anticipated.”

The potential return of Neto would provide a significant boost to Wolves as they aim to finish the season on a high note. With crucial matches ahead, including encounters against top-tier opponents, having Neto back in the squad could tip the scales in Wolves’ favor.

Neto himself has remained focused on his recovery, sharing glimpses of his rehabilitation journey on social media platforms. The support from fans and teammates alike has undoubtedly fueled his determination to return stronger than ever.

As speculation mounts about Neto’s possible comeback date, Wolves supporters are eagerly awaiting official confirmation from the club. The prospect of seeing their talismanic winger back in action has injected renewed enthusiasm among the fanbase.

While the timing of Neto’s return remains uncertain, O’Neil’s optimism offers a glimmer of hope for Wolves fans longing to see their beloved star grace the pitch once again. As the club navigates the challenges of the season, the potential return of Pedro Neto could serve as a catalyst for brighter days ahead.
