Bruno Guimaraes is adored on Tyneside, and it appears that the Newcastle United star’s other half shares his enthusiasm for the city.
The Brazilian was one of the Magpies’ standout performers as they thrashed Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur at St James’ Park.
With goals from Alexander Isak (2), Anthony Gordon, and Fabian Schar, Eddie Howe’s side won for the second time in a row. Guimaraes contributed to two of the goals in the game, assisting on Isak’s second.
As a side note, Guimaraes, a former Lyon player, avoided his tenth booking of the season in the game, saving him a two-game Premier League ban.
While his Newcastle performances have received fantastic reviews in the North East of England, they have also elicited admiration from some of Europe’s finest.
The player has been linked with moves to Real Madrid, Manchester City, and, most recently, Paris Saint-Germain. A lot of the talk stems from the 26-year-old’s alleged release clause in his newly signed new Newcastle contract.
Guimaraes has already expressed his love for the club and the city, hinting at his desire to stay. And his other half, Ana Lidia Martins, has taken to Instagram to give the greatest hint yet about where she hopes the player’s future lies.
On the social networking platform, she was pictured with Joelinton’s partner Thays Gondim at SJP, with the remark “Feels like home.”
To which Gondim responded, “You are the greatest of all.”
Guimaraes then said, “My family”. Then it says, “I love you so much.”
