Wideouts coach Kefense Hynson, also from Oakland, has been keeping tabs on Washington’s recruitment, and their relationship is what distinguishes Oregon State.

“I have a relationship with Coach Fense, and he has been recruiting me since my freshman year. Since this will be my first time to Oregon State, I’m trying to get a sense of whether I can see myself there.”

The couple has developed a very deep relationship.

“He was honest and fair when he recruited me. He has also seen my development as a player since my freshman year. Also, he understands the wide receiver position very well; I appreciate how he breaks it down from a different perspective, which is something I cherished as a wide receiver.”
