The Miami Dolphins have recently paid one of their finest players, and now it is their quarterback’s turn.
Jaylen Waddle’s large contract extension sparked rumors that Tyreek Hill might also receive a raise, although he is not currently at the top of the priority list.
Tua Tagovailoa has yet to receive a contract extension, and while some fans question if he deserves top pay in his next contract, that is simply the present status of the market.
With that in mind, former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky wanted to take some time to thank Tua for not only being a brilliant quarterback, but also for being a perfect fit for Mike McDaniel’s offense (via FinsXtra).
With all of the motions, shifts, play fakes, and anticipation, Orlovsky believes that only Patrick Mahomes, CJ Stroud, Joe Burrow, Matthew Stafford, and Brock Purdy can efficiently operate the Dolphins’ offense.
He believes that other periphery guys, such as Dak Prescott, Jared Goff, and possibly Jordan Love, might accomplish the same.
Of course, he does not believe that one player is necessarily superior to another, but in terms of fit, he believes Tua ranks toward the top of the list.
According to Orlovsky, the Dolphins can win ‘a ton’ of games with Tua behind center, which is why he believes they need to make a deal immediately.
Tua has received mixed reviews since entering the league, but the truth is that he is the Dolphins’ best option right now, and it’s not even close.
