On Wednesday, WKU Women’s Tennis Head Coach Greg Davis announced Emily Schut’s signing to the program.

Schut joins the Lady Toppers as a transfer from Marshall.

“Happy to have Emily joining us for the 2024-25 season,” remarked Davis. “I view her as a two-way player – singles and doubles – who is extremely capable of playing at a high level. I believe she will fit in well with our returning teammates.”

Prior to attending college, she won many national championships, including her country’s U16 doubles crown in both indoor and outdoor tennis. In addition, she advanced to the quarterfinal and semifinal stages of other youth competitions.

Schut joins returning players Sofia Blanco, Sunskrithi Damera, Rachel Hermanova, and Mariana Zegada on the 2024-25 team.

The Lady Toppers finished 14-11 in 2024, tying for the fourth most wins in a single season in program history. WKU is now enjoying its most successful three-year span in program history, with 47 wins.
