Alex Manske, an Iowa State class of 2025 quarterback commit, is competing in the Elite 11 Finals this week alongside the nation’s top quarterback prospects.
“It’s definitely been a great time,” Manske told 247Sports while visiting Southern California for the event. “Obviously being able to be here competing with all the kids and all really good kids around the country, but also being able to soak up all the information I’ve been able to learn here and all the different speakers.”
The Algona, Iowa, three-star quarterback wowed in the Elite 11 regionals with his accurate passing and advanced to the finals among five-star prospects Tavien St. Clair and Husan Longstreet, among many other high-level prospects.
“Getting to know all the guys and talking to all the guys,” Manske explained. “You always see them on the internet and whatnot. You finally get to meet and talk to them; it’s awesome.”
On the first night of the Elite 11, Manske demonstrated positive arm skill as well as high-level RPO coordination qualities. His ability to make throws on the move has allowed him to throw at unusual arm angles while off-platform. He’ll need to continue growing as a traditional pocket passer as he progresses through high school and college.
