Aaron Judge understands that in order to succeed, the Yankees must outperform themselves on Tuesday against the Mets.

The New York Yankees lost 9-7 to the New York Mets on Tuesday because Gerrit Cole did not pitch up to his usual standards. When the Yankees take the field again, Aaron Judge wants to make sure they don’t repeat their mistakes.

The Yankees trailed by six runs after the first four innings. They were behind 9-2 entering the eighth inning. But New York responded, scoring five runs in the eighth on a huge Judge home run, cutting the Mets’ advantage to two. However, it was insufficient because neither team scored in the ninth inning.

Judge was aware that the Yankees had opportunities to create some noise, but they were unable to capitalize and mount a huge comeback. According to the Yes Network, Judge hopes that New York can get back on track in their Wednesday game against the Mets.

“We got to treat every inning like it’s zero-zero every game,” Mr. Judge said. “No matter what occurs in the first or second, we must maintain our strategy. Maintaining the quality at-bats.

“We had a couple opportunities early on and we didn’t capitalize,” Judge claimed. “We have to show up tomorrow and come out with a win.”

With Cole on the mound, the Yankees had to like their chances of winning. However, he only lasted four innings, giving six runs and seven hits, walking four and striking out none. Nonetheless, it was only Cole’s second start of the season as an elbow ailment postponed his 2024. Judge still believes in the right-hander and would use him on the mound as often as possible.

“He’s our ace; that’s our guy. “I want him out there every five days,” Judge stated. “Games like these happen; you simply need to move on and learn from them. “It will be fine.”

Despite the setback, New York still leads the AL East with a 52-29 record. Even if losses are rare in 2024, Aaron Judge does not want the Yankees’ difficulties to continue.

Despite the loss, Judge played an important part against the Mets, as his three-run home run gave the team hope. The outfielder had a monster day, going 2-for-5 with five RBIs. Except on Tuesday, the Yankees have continued to dominate, with Judge playing a key role.

Judge is hitting.304 in 79 games, with 29 home runs and 75 RBI. He leads the league in both of these categories. His batting average ranks eighth, while the outfielder leads the American League in doubles.

The offensive outburst has been well-known among Yankee supporters and other baseball aficionados. Aaron Judge has dominated the major leagues since his first full season in 2017. In 914 games, Judge has hit.283 with 286 home runs and 647 RBI. He is a five-time All-Star, a former Rookie of the Year, and an MVP.

But Judge isn’t trying to dwell on the past, particularly after Tuesday’s outing. New York’s star is just looking forward to the future, which he hopes will be even better for the Yankees.
