As of right now, the Knights’ Top 15 Class for 2025
The Rutgers The Hun School linebacker Kamar Archie has added even more icing to the cake—football stays hotter than the scorching temperatures on the recruiting road. Archie was recruited more than three years ago while he was a student at Ewing High School in New Jersey. Later, he transferred to Princeton and reclassified into the Hun class of 2025. The weekend of June 14th, Archie paid the banks his official visit.

A lengthy list of elite schools, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Clemson, Oklahoma, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas A&M, USC, Washington, and Wisconsin, was defeated by Rutgers. This was incomprehensible prior to Schiano 2.0 donning his Santa suit, boarding his sleigh, and making his way back to Piscataway in December 2019 to assist in reconstructing a program that was beleaguered on both sides of the ball and outmatched in the black and blue Big Ten Conference.

In July 5th, 2024, the Scarlet Knights are fresh off a victorious season that included a Pinstripe Bowl victory over the Miami Hurricanes. They currently have a recruiting class ranked within the top 15. Archie, a 228-pound, 6-foot-1 player, is already built for the collegiate game. He will add another dynamic sideline-to-sideline wrecking ball to a Rutgers defense that is still regarded as one of the best, hardest, and most aggressive in the country. Archie becomes one of four four-star commitments in Rutgers’ 2025 class, joining fellow New Jersey natives running back John Forster, offensive tackle Jaelyne Matthews, and fellow linebacker DJ McClary (who transferred from Penn State to Rutgers in June).

Archie, who has a track background, gives the 2025 squad explosive speed that is essential to defensive coordinator Joe Harasymiak’s scheme. Archie’s work ethic and team-first mentality, which are essential components of Schiano’s programs, have earned him accolades from Hun head coach Todd Smith.

Kamar Archie, Hun School , Linebacker

“Kamar Archie is physically the most gifted player I have ever coached. He possesses elite size, speed, and power, with the ability to dominate football games on both sides of the ball as a linebacker or running back. His exceptional work ethic is evident as he consistently puts in the effort to improve every day. Kamar isn’t afraid of hard work and continually pushes himself to get better. Additionally, he is a great teammate and a natural leader (courtesy Rivals).”

Rutgers currently has three linebackers committed in the 2025 class—a total of 29 commitments—after Archie’s addition. Enjoy a few of Archie’s best moments in the video below.
