Tyreek Hill stated earlier this month that he believes a contract extension with the Dolphins will come in due time and that his primary goal is to help the organization win a Super Bowl.

He restated much of the same message at his Tuesday press conference to kick off training camp, emphasizing that he had no desire to leave Miami.

“Obviously, I let my agent Drew Rosenhaus and the team handle that and that situation,” Hill told USA Today’s Safid Deen. “The only thing I told Drew was, ‘Do not trade me, buddy. The last time you did this, you traded me.

“That’s all I’ve said to him—I want to stay in Miami, man. Obviously, this is where the family is currently. Everyone enjoys being here, including the family, wife, and children. So, obviously, I love it. I enjoy playing for coach, and my teammates are great. So I don’t want to leave, man.”

Hill has established himself as one of the league’s greatest receivers during the last two seasons with Miami. In 2023, he led the league with 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns, placing sixth in MVP voting and second in AP offensive player of the year voting.

While Hill’s deal is completely guaranteed and will pay him $19.665 million in basic salary this season, he has no guaranteed money after 2024. That’s why he’d eventually like an agreement that would get him closer to the terms of players who signed new deals this offseason, such as Vikings wideout Justin Jefferson and Eagles wideout A.J. Brown.

Jaylen Waddle, his Dolphins teammate, also received an extension this offseason.
