Ty Jackson, a four-star linebacker from Loxahatchee (Fla.) Seminole Ridge, is one of the Florida Gators’ top overall recruiting targets this cycle. He’s been a regular visitor to UF’s campus for the past year and has already made several trips to Gainesville this year alone. He returned to town on Saturday to attend UF’s Grill in the Ville picnic.
While he has already seen much of the school and program, this time the emphasis was on showing him the staff’s bond with its players and the effort they put into developing good relationships with prospects they target.
“Today was mainly family-oriented,” Jackson remarked. “Just bringing everyone, all the possible prospects, back on campus, and playing games. Getting past the coaches and players. We played games and went a scavenger search with the coaches. Just building a bond with them.”
Jackson is already aware of what UF’s coaches can offer on the field. Saturday’s visit allowed him to understand more about their personalities and interests outside of football.
