Brandon Arrington, one of the nation’s greatest 2026 athletes, is making his first visit to the Oklahoma Sooners.
The dead period has passed. College football recruits can resume visit schedules at the end of the summer.

This means that multiple events will crop up across the country this weekend. One of them is Sooners Under the Stars.

Oklahoma football will welcome many prospects from the 2026 and 2027 cycles, with arrivals beginning as early as today. With 2025 nearly at an end, it’s time for these two cycles to take center stage.

Brandon Arrington is one prospect who deserves to be in the spotlight. One of the cycle’s standout skillsets, and one of the greatest in America, will be in Norman beginning today.

According to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Player Rankings, Arrington ranks as the No. 20 overall recruit in the 2026 class. The high four-star talent is also ranked as the best athlete in the country and one of the top three in California. According to the 247Sports Network’s particular rankings, Arrington is the No. 65 overall prospect of the cycle. He is also ranked as a top seven athlete in the country and a top eight player in the Golden State.

The 247Sports scouting report on Carrington is as follows. Greg Biggins, network national scouting and recruiting expert, provided this information:

“Two-sport star and one of the fastest sprinters in the nation. As a sophomore, he ran personal bests of 10.43-100m and 20.76-200m and could easily double-sport in college. On the field, demonstrates the versatility to play cornerback or receiver and should grow into a dangerous return specialist. Has a long, athletic 6-foot-2, 180-pound physique with plenty of room to gain weight. Still improving as a pass catcher, he fights the ball at times but has made significant progress over the last year in terms of tracking the football and running after the catch.

Can run more than simply go routes, and has improved his route running skills as well as his ability to set up opposing corners. The speed is evident on the football field, and he’s explosive enough to outrun the angle and get behind a defense. Shows toughness by going over the center and not being afraid to make contact. Has potential as a long cover corner, but his ceiling is as high as that of any talent player in the region.

This will be Arrington’s first visit to Norman. He will also visit Alabama and Nebraska for the first time. The recruiting process is heating up for one of the most exciting athletes in a rising cycle.
