Kentucky is still searching for this top-10 recruit.
When John Calipari was still in charge, the Kentucky Wildcats were seen as one of, if not the best, options for 5-star forward Caleb Wilson.
When the flight for Arkansas arrived, it appeared that any prospect of landing Wilson had gone with Calipari to Fayetteville.
Not so fast.
According to On3’s Joe Tipton, Wilson narrowed his selection down to 12 institutions on Tuesday, and Kentucky was among them. Alabama, Arkansas, Duke, North Carolina, and Tennessee are among the other teams in contention.
The big news is that Wilson has arranged an official visit to Kentucky for September 13th, per Tipton. This will come after an official visit to Alabama on September 6th.
Wilson, a 6-foot-9, 205-pound forward from Atlanta (GA), received an offer from Kentucky in June 2023 and visited Lexington in October. He is presently ranked third nationwide in the 2025 class by On3, sixth by 247 Sports, fifth by ESPN and fourth by Rivals.
Wilson expressed his want to hear more from Kentucky after Mark Pope took over as program director in May.
“I watched BYU film, and I watched them play a good amount last year because although they weren’t talented, like five-star prospects, very athletic guys, they won,” Wilson told the Zags Blog. “And they won in a tough conference.”
Wilson appears to have gotten his goal, since Kentucky is not only on his list, but is also scheduled to receive him for an official visit soon.
