Audrey Gogniat, an Olympic bronze medalist, has signed with Ole Miss Rifle to enhance its 2024 recruiting class. The right-handed shooter from Le Noirmont, Switzerland, won a bronze medal in the 10m air rifle discipline at the 2024 Olympics in Paris. Gogniat qualified with a 632.6, three tenths below than the Olympic qualification record, and then earned a 230.3 in the final round to secure a podium position.

“Audrey is undoubtedly one of the best shooters in the world, and we are very excited that she picked Ole Miss to be her home for the next four years,” Rachel Martin, the school’s head rifle coach, said. “She brings a new level of competitiveness to our squad and fits in with the vision Coach Shaner and I have for it. Audrey will be an excellent teammate and provide a wealth of knowledge to our current group.”

Prior to Paris, Gogniat finished sixth in the 2023 International Shooting Sport Federation World Championship in Baku, Azerbaijan, earning Switzerland’s Olympic quota. She scored 632.2 in the qualifying round and 166.2 in the finals.

Gogniat has established herself as a strong worldwide competitor.
