Four-star tight end in the Class of 2026, has committed to Tennessee football, joining five-star quarterback Faizon Brandon one day after the country’s top player did.

Sneed chose the Vols over Auburn, Louisville, Ohio State, and Ole Miss for his junior season at Donelson Christian Academy in Nashville. If the name seems familiar, it’s because his older brother, Dayton Sneed, is a redshirt freshman wide receiver at Tennessee.

The younger Sneed has visited Tennessee four times this year, but he has only been to the other four schools once.

On3 Recruiting ranks him as a top-200 talent, the No. 4 player in Tennessee, and the No. 9 tight end in the 2026 class.

Andrew Ivins, 247Sports’ Director of Scounting, admires Sneed’s mix of size and skill. Ivins believes he would be a valuable asset to any team’s run game and could be an excellent sniffing back.

“Throwback in-line tight end prospect that has actually received some valuable snaps at offensive tackle while also doubling as a front-seven defender,” according to Ivins. “Size has not been third-party verified, but it is thought to be above 6-foot-5 with the potential to carry 260 pounds or more.

“Rather successful at this stage as an attached blocker, and should only improve at blocking off run lanes with increased technique and continued muscular growth. Has not proven to be a true vertical threat in the passing game, but can get out of the backfield and find soft spots in zone coverage, particularly in the red zone. Should be considered a potential asset in an offense that relies heavily on two and three tight end formations. Could excel in a sniffer job.

As with the previous three years, the Vols’ 2026 recruiting class is headlined by an outstanding five-star quarterback, which has instantly helped the Vols land their second blue-chip athlete.
