Jose Altuve may have irritated an umpire when he whipped out his bare foot during a recent on-field altercation, but he definitely gained some new fans on the internet. The Houston Astros star, 34, received a hefty webcam offer after removing his cleats and sock during a game against the San Diego Padres on Tuesday, September 17. Altuve pleaded with home plate umpire Brennan Miller that he fouled a ball off his foot before getting removed from the game.
According to a letter acquired by Us Weekly, the prominent pornographic platform CamSoda has offered to pay Altuve’s prospective fines of up to $10,000 in exchange for a “hour-long webcam show in which you show off your foot to our audience.” “Our users love some nice feet, and I have a feeling a lot of people would like to see yours up close and personal,” CamSoda’s vice president Daryn Parker said in the offer. “After all, size doesn’t matter – you of all people know that.”
Altuve is the shortest active player in Major League Baseball, standing 5-foot-6. The play in dispute occurred during the top half of the ninth inning, when Miller called Altuve’s ball fair, resulting in an inning-ending forceout. The Astros eventually won the game 4-3 after 10 innings. While no fines have yet been imposed on Altuve, he continued to argue his case in the Astros’ locker room following his expulsion. “It was a foul ball,” Altuve explained. “It was evident. I just wanted to bat against [Robert] Suarez. I know he’s excellent, but I wanted to continue fighting him.”
Following the game, Astros manager Joe Espada defended his All-Star second baseman, claiming that he may have gone even further.
“I respect that from Jose,” Espada stated. “He wants to win and is a winner. Hey, I will take it. I got it. If it were me, I’d definitely take off my shoes to make a point.” Whatever the case, Espada took advantage of the occasion to address the entire umpire crew for the night. “It’s a foul ball,” Espada explained. “You have to watch the ball after it hits the foot, its flight, and what it does. I do not comprehend. That’s twice this year. I have a lot of respect for the umpire. They labor hard. There are four out there. For me, you must be able to see it. “They missed that play.”

In May, CamSoda paid viral French pole vaulter Anthony Ammirati, who clipped the bar with his crotch at the 2024 Paris Olympics, $250,000 for a one-hour cam show. So yet, Ammirati has not accepted the offer.
