Johnson is ranked as the No. 29 wide receiver in America, the No. 6 player in Mississippi’s 2026 class, and the No. 161 prospect overall.

Omari Johnson, a composite four-star wide receiver, will return to the Ole Miss campus for the second straight weekend on Saturday. Johnson saw Ole Miss defeat Georgia Southern at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium last week and will be back for more on Saturday.

The 6-1, 170-pound 2026 prospect is now at Jackson (Miss.) Academy, having started his prep career at Wesson (Miss.) Attendance Center.

Johnson is ranked as the No. 29 wide receiver in America, the No. 6 player in Mississippi’s 2026 class, and the No. 161 prospect nationally according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite index.

“I want to see a good game,” Johnson said, laughing. “I’ve been talking to Ole Miss and we have a pretty good relationship.”

Johnson has offers from SEC programs such as Ole Miss, Arkansas, LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri, South Carolina, and Tennessee, as well as Florida State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Purdue, Tulane, and Toledo.

What does Johnson think of his Ole Miss offer?

“It makes me feel pretty good,” he explained.

“I’m starting to narrow things down. “I know Ole Miss is at the top,” Johnson remarked.
