The Georgia Bulldogs are once again an SEC and College Football Playoff contender. However, the offense has been a work in progress, beginning with quarterback Carson Beck. The Georgia quarterback enters the season as one of the top prospects for the 2025 NFL draft. Beck’s erratic play in 2024 has caused the Dawgs offense to stall. The quarterback threw for 175 yards, three interceptions, and no touchdowns in Georgia’s 30-15 victory over the Texas Longhorns on October 19. Georgia veteran David Pollack believes that the Bulldogs’ offensive struggles originate from a lack of tight end presence.
Pollack pointed to the tape and observed that Beck does not appear to trust one tight end on the field.
“And you know what, if you want to boil it down to what you see and what you watch on tape, Carson Beck doesn’t trust Delp,” Pollack said on an Oct. 22 broadcast of “The McShay Show.” “He doesn’t. Again, we’re going to spit it out plain. That is what we are going to do. There is clearly a lack of trust.”[With Brock] Bowers, the ball was being force-fed. [Ladd] McConkey, that ball was being force-fed.”
Delp has only 7 receptions for 98 yards entering Week 10 of the NCAA football season. Delp is still searching for his first touchdown of the season. Georgia continues to look for methods to replace Brock Bowers, the Las Vegas Raiders’ top playmaker.
