Several NFL clubs want to add edge rusher, but would the Las Vegas Raiders deal their franchise face?
On Yahoo Sports’ “Inside Coverage” podcast, NFL expert Charles Robinson stated that teams will regularly contact the Raiders about Crosby’s availability this offseason.
“This offseason is going to be a Maxx Crosby offseason — 1,000 percent,” says Robinson. “They will undoubtedly be asked, ‘Is Crosby available?'” “Is Crosby available?”
However, Robinson believes the Raiders will keep Crosby because owner Mark Davis “loves him.” That will not deter teams from attempting.
“But I believe the question will be, and this is what teams will be looking for, ‘Is Maxx happy?'” Someone ask Max, “Are you happy?” “Are you going to keep burning your prime here?” Robinson stated.
Crosby is having another All-Pro season with the 2-6 Raiders. He’s recorded 6.5 sacks, 10 tackles for loss, 11 quarterback hits, and three pass deflections.
Maxx Crosby wants to be a Las Vegas Raider for life
Despite trade talk, Crosby has frequently stated that he does not want to leave Las Vegas.
“I’m sitting here innocently and just doing what I do, and I feel like I got to like address it with my teammates,” he said. “I said, ‘I’m not trying to leave.'” I don’t have full control, but I want to be here. I want to be silver and black. I’ll say it loudly and clearly: I want to be a Raider. I’ve said it repeatedly.”
Owner Mark Davis also informed ESPN that Crosby will not be traded, either at the deadline or after the season.
“We’re not trading Maxx Crosby,” Davis wrote in an email to ESPN. “Before Or After The Trade Deadline!!!”
