The Buffalo Bills defeated the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, adding another chapter to the burgeoning rivalry between star quarterbacks Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes. The Bills defeated the Chiefs 30-21 at Highmark Stadium, snapping their impressive 15-game winning streak that began last season. The Bills’ winning streak was extended with their sixth consecutive victory.
Once again, the 28-year-old Allen delivered down the stretch, rushing for a 26-yard score on fourth down with only 2:17 remaining in the fourth quarter to seal Buffalo’s victory. The Bills moved to 9–2, while the Chiefs fell to 9–1. When asked about his MVP-like play, Allen immediately mentioned Mahomes, who is 29 years old.
“Any time you give the ball back to Pat, that offense, down six with the game on the line, I like their chances,” Allen told the Associated Press. “So wanting six or seven (points) to try to make it a two-score game (was the goal).” Allen, who was experiencing pain in his throwing hand, threw for 262 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. Mahomes passed for 196 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions.
