The Buffalo Bills are already in terrific shape at quarterback, courtesy to NFL MVP candidate Josh Allen. However, the Bills have a unique position in Allen. So, while depth at the quarterback position is always beneficial, Buffalo has recently added another player due to a “good emergency.” Buffalo is gearing up for its somewhat meaningless regular-season finale against the New England Patriots this Sunday.
Veteran quarterback Mike White has just been added to the team’s active roster. White has signed a one-year contract extension for the 2025 season. So this might be more than just a fill-in role behind Josh Allen White, who will be available for the Bills in Week 18. But what’s the rush? Allen plans to start and then depart the game to maintain his iron man streak and stay fit for the playoffs. So Josh will do his own thing. Mitch Trubisky, the No. 2 player, is also eligible to do the same.
And to assist sweep up? White, who has been on the practice squad but has also started numerous games, is now in play. White also knows his way around the AFC East, having previously played for the New York Jets and the Miami Dolphins.
