After a tremendously fruitful NFL career spanning seven seasons, Buffalo Bills great quarterback Josh Allen has won his first MVP award. The Kansas City Chiefs proved to be too much for Allen and the Bills once more, defeating them in the AFC title game, despite their 13-4 regular season record. Even though Allen has already won the trophy at the NFL Honors leading up to the Super Bowl, the story around the Bills quarterback continues to spin.
Lamar Jackson, the Baltimore Ravens’ two-time MVP, was in contention to win the trophy for the third time in his career. Allen eventually beat him out, but the incident ignited a media debate over the two quarterbacks.
Clearly, the debate is irrelevant because the vote has been completed, the winner has been determined, and the two quarterbacks and teams have begun their offseasons. Allen’s MVP speech was genuine, as was the video created for the Wyoming product after he won the award. Allen has many fans in the NFL because of his upbeat nature, which has created a significant reaction to the video of the superstar quarterback watching his MVP film. Laura Rutledge, an ESPN reporter, had a simple four-word response to the footage of the Bills quarterback watching the congrats message. “Man. I love this,” Rutledge wrote on X. On the season, Allen threw for 3,731 yards and 28 touchdowns with six interceptions, adding 531 yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground. He was exceptional, leading the Bills to a 13-win season and No. 2 seed in the whole AFC.
