The New York Yankees re-signed Tim Hill on Saturday, agreeing to a $2.85 million, one-year contract.

Hill earns $2.5 million this year, and his contract contains a $3 million team option for 2026 with a $350,000 buyout.

Hill, who turns 35 on Monday, signed a $1.8 million contract with the Chicago White Sox last season and was dismissed on June 18 after pitching 1-0 with a 5.87 ERA in 23 innings over 27 appearances. He signed with New York two days later and went 1-0 with a 2.05 ERA in 35 games, including a 1.08 ERA in 10 postseason games.

Hill, a 32nd-round pick in the 2014 amateur draft, made his MLB debut with Kansas City in 2018. He also plays for San Diego and has a 20-14 record with a 3.99 ERA in 382 appearances.
