Tyreek Hill appeared on Kay Adams’ Up & Adams show on Friday ahead of the Super Bowl, and his comments were once again noteworthy — but for completely different reasons than the previous time he spoke with NFL media.

When Adams questioned Hill on Friday if he wanted to stay with the Miami Dolphins despite withdrawing from Week 18’s loss to the New York Jets and then claiming he was considering leaving the team after the game, Hill altered his tune.

“I do. I do. I do not wish to travel nowhere. I love it. My family adores it. Every morning, the kids adore being at the beach. So it’s wonderful, man.”

Regarding his connection with his teammates, Hill claimed to have already spoken with many of them, and that they accept his apologies for his post-game statements.

“They understand I am not that type of player. Many individuals may comment, “Reek is a hothead.” He is this. He is that. But my teammates are aware.”

Despite numerous allegations that Hill was often late for practice and/or meetings in 2024, Hill denied this and instead boasted about being a great teammate.

“For me, I love to show guys my hard work and my appreciation to them by just going to practice every day, busting my tail, showing up to meetings on time, just doing everything the right way, the exact way a pro is supposed to be, doing the stuff where a No. 1 player is supposed to be,” he told reporters. “Being on time, being highly coachable, paying close attention in meetings, and so on. I believe it is the most important thing I can provide my colleagues, and that is the type of leader I have been throughout my career.”

Adams asked Hill if he wanted to publicly apologize to quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Hill responded with a tongue-in-cheek smile:

“Tua, he’s my guy, always will be my guy, no matter what,” he told me. “I am sure he understands my dissatisfaction. We all want to win. Tua is another rival. He’s a fierce competitor. Many individuals are unaware of this. He’s the winner. He is consistent. So I’m looking forward to us strengthening our friendship even more, and this is my public apologies.”

“This is a public apology to you, Tua. “Love you, bro.”

Hill’s public apology tour, whether genuine or not, only adds to the uncertainty. Time will tell if The Cheetah joins the Dolphins in 2025, but we will keep you posted as the situation evolves.
