Jaxson Dart’s NFL forecasts are expected to be all over the place entering the 2025 NFL Draft. The Ole Miss quarterback helped himself a lot at the Senior Bowl, but he still has a lot of pre-draft events to perform well in. While some mock drafts have him going first, he’s more likely to be drafted in the second or third round. If he slips to the second round, he may still be able to join a team and start.
Kyle Crabbs of The 33rd Team created a two-round mock draft in which Dart is projected to be taken by the Las Vegas Raiders with the 37th pick. “The Raiders cash in after the turn with their own swing of the bat at quarterback, adding a talented passer for Pete Carroll and company to try to develop,” writes Crabbs.
If this were to materialize, Dart would join a squad led by Lane Kiffin, his former Ole Miss head coach. Kiffin served as the Raiders’ head coach from 2007 to 2008, his first stint in that position. Dart hopes to be more successful in the Silver and Black than Kiffin. The coach was fired before completing two full seasons. One fascinating aspect of a Dart-Raiders pairing is that head coach Pete Carroll is the NFL’s oldest head coach.

There has been speculation about who may succeed him, and Carroll has previously worked with Kiffin. If Dart develops into a fantastic quarterback in the NFL, the Raiders may consider approaching Kiffin in the future.
