Defensive back prospect Dorian Barney reduced the number of organizations he’s considering from 50 to 12. The Notre Dame football team has a foot in the door with the top prospect because they are one of the 12 teams he is still considering.
Barney noticed something about each of the clubs on the list, and it’s not surprise that the Fighting Irish are on the list due to their relationship with head coach Marcus Freeman.

When asked why the Golden Domers made the cut and appear to be in good form for the next one, Barney told Irish Sports Daily about his relationship with head coach Marcus Freeman.
“Really just the relationship I have with Coach Freeman,” Barney clarified. “He texted me throughout the season, during his season. He had a long season and made it to the national championship. He could be doing something else. “He is the head coach.”

The defensive back went on to say that one of the things that impressed him the most was that despite having a lot on his plate, Freeman made the time to talk to the youngster during his visit.
