During his official visit to Arkansas this weekend, 5-star power forward, the top uncommitted prospect in the class of 2025, was met with “we want Nate” chants from Razorback fans.

Ament has announced his final five schools and set a commitment date of April 1st. The great talent will choose between Duke, Arkansas, Louisville, Kentucky, and Tennessee.

Darius Acuff Jr., another 5-star prospect committed to Arkansas, was with Ament during his visit, and the crowd got into it, hoping to help recruit Ament to Fayetteville.

Acuff was introduced at half court during the first media timeout of Arkansas’ 93-92 home victory over Mississippi State on Saturday, and as he exited the field, supporters began chanting “we want Nate”.

Ament is the #4 overall player in the 247sports Composite Rankings for the class of 2025, coming from Highland School in Virginia. He and five-star big Koa Peat are the top two remaining uncommitted talents in the 2025 class.

Ament has had a long-standing relationship with Duke and has paid him three visits. He received an offer from the Blue Devils’ program during his unofficial visit in September 2023, and he returned for an official visit earlier this season with his friend and current Duke recruit, Shelton Henderson. Ament was subsequently in Durham for the inaugural game of the Duke-North Carolina rivalry earlier this season, which the Blue Devils won 87-70.

“They’ve probably been recruiting me for the longest of the five,” Ament said of Duke when he revealed his final five schools. “But, you know, it’s great to see that, one, they’re winning with freshman players, and they’re one of the top teams in the nation, not just offensively but defensively, and they’re able to do it with a lot of firepower.”

Some current Duke commits have also attempted to assist attract Ament. Following his formal visit to see Duke/UNC, Ament posted on Instagram, and the Boozer twins reacted, attempting to persuade him to join them in Durham.

Cameron commented on the “bulging eyes” emoji, while Cayden wrote, “Yk, this is the move twin.”

Ament has no crystal ball predictions at the moment. Early in his senior season, Duke appeared to be the front-runner for his services, but his decision is now up in the air.
