Yadier Molina, the great former catcher for the St. Louis Cardinals, may have made some controversial remarks.
Molina recently expressed his desire to manage at the MLB level at some point in the future. The Cardinals legend stated that he would ultimately prefer to coach St. Louis, but would go anywhere, including the team’s primary foe.
“If we make a decision as a family, I can manage anywhere.” “I’d manage the Chicago Cubs if they wanted,” Molina told The Athletic’s Katie Woo.
Obviously, Cardinals fans would prefer not to see Molina average against their fiercest opponent. Even Molina may opt to work elsewhere. However, there are only 30 MLB managerial positions available, with only a few openings per year. If he wants to get into management, he may have to make some compromises.
According to sources, Molina would be considered for the Cardinals’ job if they made a change following the 2024 season. However, they ultimately decided to keep existing manager Oli Marmol.
Molina spent his whole 19-year MLB career with the Cardinals. He is one of the most popular and revered players in team history, and he clearly has the potential to become a manager.

Interestingly, we already have a sense of how Molina might look while working for the Cubs. Needless to say, Cardinals fans did not appreciate the image either.
