Prior to their game against the Red Sox at Fenway Park in Boston on Monday at 11:10 a.m. ET, the White Sox made three roster changes.
Infielder Bobby Dalbec was called up from Triple-A, while Chase Meidroth was placed on the 10-day disabled list due to irritation in his right thumb. Due to discomfort in his left elbow, left-handed pitcher MartÃn Pérez has been placed on the 60-day disabled list. On Saturday, he was added to the 15-day injury list.
After being called up from Triple-A, Meidroth, the White Sox’s eighth-ranked prospect, made his Major League debut on April 11 against the Red Sox. Meidroth has four runs, seven hits, one RBI, five walks, and four strikeouts in his first 31 MLB plate appearances. His batting average is.269, and his OPS is.656.
Meidroth will be partially replaced by infielder Bobby Dalbec. In January, 29-year-old 6-foot-3 righty Dalbec signed a minor league contract with the White Sox. He played 269 games at first base, 55 at third base, and a few games at different infield and outfield positions during his 2020–24 stint with the Red Sox.
Dalbec recorded nine runs, fifteen hits, three doubles, four home runs, thirteen RBI, a stolen base, two walks, and sixteen strikeouts in his 48 plate appearances with Triple-A Charlotte this season. He had a 1.050 OPS and was batting.326. In 2021, Dalbec had his greatest major league season with a.792 OPS and 25 home runs.

After three innings and fifty-two pitches on Friday, Pérez left the game because to what the team described as left forearm pain. He gave up zero strikeouts, two walks, four earned runs, and five hits. For the first three times in the rotation, he had given up just three earned runs in 17 innings, making him possibly the White Sox’s most dependable starter.
