The Duke Blue Devils lost against the Houston Cougars by a single possession, but they advanced to the NCAA Tournament Final Four.

Players quitting the program after the season has been a cascading impact.

Given the team’s skill, Jon Scheyer anticipated that the NBA Draft would be the reason for the majority of the departures. This week, one of the returnees made a statement that should strengthen the team’s roster for the upcoming campaign.

Guard Tyrese Proctor gave a two-word message to his teammate when Darren Harris said he would be returning to Duke for his second season with the Blue Devils.

In response, Proctor said, “That time.”

According to Proctor, the former four-star recruit will now be the Blue Devils’ go-to player for the 2025–2026 campaign.

Harris is a forward from Fairfax, Virginia, who is 6′ 6″ and capable of long-range shooting.

Harris participated in 21 games during his one season at Duke, averaging only six minutes per game and two points per game. In the second round of the NCAA Tournament, he made his final appearance.

Proctor is now experimenting with the NBA Draft following a season in which he shot 45.2% from the field and scored 12.4 points per game. Duke’s march to the NCAA Final Four and their second ACC Tournament triumph in three seasons were greatly aided by Proctor.
