A strong eight-man rotation is already in place for Jon Scheyer’s fourth season as head coach of the Blue Devils, now that all of Duke basketball’s 2024–25 scholarship players who did not turn pro early or expire their eligibility have returned.

However, that does not imply that the Durham staff will just be searching for inferior candidates going forward when completing the roster. No, Duke is still interested in a number of elite players, including one who recently accepted an offer from the Blue Devils.

Back in January, approximately two years after making the shift from the 2025 to 2026 recruiting cycle, Brewster Academy (N.H.) power forward Sebastian Wilkins addressed the potential of reclassifying back to 2025. That implies that he may start the next season as a freshman in college.

And it wouldn’t be shocking if the 6-foot-8, 215-pound four-star finally adds his name to Scheyer’s 2025–26 team given the Duke basketball offer that was received last week and the increasing rumors that the Blue Devils are the front-runners.

Only a few spots shy of five-star status, Wilkins is ranked No. 28 overall on the 247Sports 2026 Composite.

The Maryland Terrapins, who welcomed him last weekend, are among the dozen offers he has received.

Meanwhile, the 2025 recruiting trail produced five-stars Cayden Boozer, Cameron Boozer, and Nikolas Khamenia, three of the aforementioned rotation players already scheduled to play for the 2025–26 Blue Devils.
