As the 2025 season gets underway, the New York Mets are blazing. They’ve won 18 of their first 25 games, including seven in a row following their victory against the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday night.

At the moment, New York has the largest division advantage in baseball, a dominating five-game lead in the National League East. This season, the Mets have experienced a number of noteworthy occurrences, such as several walk-off triumphs and victory in the last seconds. Furthermore, thus far this season, no baseball club has performed better at its home field than New York. The Mets had a remarkable start in Queens after thirteen games in New York.

After the Mets easily defeated Philadelphia on Wednesday, MLB made the historic announcement that New York’s 12-1 home start this season is the greatest in the team’s history. This was only one of the facts the league emphasized, along with the fact that the Mets are now on a seven-game winning run, have the best record in baseball, and swept the Phillies.

The Mets’ success at home is hardly surprising. Their pitching staff has been outstanding, to start. With a combined ERA of under 2.34 in Queens games, they have the best record in MLB.

The Mets are also fourth in the Big Leagues with a +25 run differential in their first 13 home games. The Mets had a.549 winning percentage with a 46-35 home record the previous season. After their first baker’s dozen of games, they are now on track to finish 75-6 at home. Even if that number is unsustainable, it’s evident that many opposition teams now find it tough to go to Citi Field.
