Few people selected the Houston Cougars to win the men’s NCAA title this past season. However, before losing to Florida in the final game, they had an incredible run that featured a shocking upset of Duke in the Final Four.

Terrance Arceneaux, a reserve wing who has played for Houston his entire collegiate career, has logged onto the transfer site. In a farewell letter to Houston, he thanked the program for everything it has done for him and pledged to play for the North Carolina State Wolfpack the next season.

“Thank you university of Houston for the support, opportunities, and memories, I’ll always be grateful for everything this school has given me,” he posted to X.

This past season, Arceneaux started six of 40 games and averaged 6.5 points in 20.3 minutes per game. He increased his field goal and 3-point shooting percentages to 44.3% and 33.7%, respectively, after they were just 38.6% and 28.6%, respectively, during the 2023–24 season.

The Wolfpack only finished 12-19 this past season after making it all the way to the Final Four the previous season. They have already lost numerous players to the transfer portal, but perhaps Arceneaux can help ease the pain this autumn and winter.

Though still a work in progress, at 6′ 6″ and 205 pounds, he does have a lot of athleticism, and maybe greater playing time and responsibility might help him improve going ahead.
