After winning their second consecutive Super Bowl championship and third in the last five seasons, the Kansas City Chiefs made it obvious that they intend to make it a three-peat.
No team has won three consecutive NFL titles since the AFL-NFL merger created the Super Bowl, and Patrick Mahomes and his teammates hope to make contemporary football history next season.
However, in order to do so, they must retain their existing roster intact, which includes re-signing defensive talents Chris Jones and L’Jarius Sneed.
Kay Adams asked Sneed on “Up & Adams” what he wanted to say to Chiefs GM Brett Veach, and he simply answered, “Pay me.”
Sneed has progressively emerged as a stud over the course of his four pro seasons, and he recorded 14 passes defended, two interceptions, and five tackles for loss this season.

Kansas City is no longer a brilliant offensive squad; this season, with a young and inexperienced group of wide receivers, the Chiefs rebuilt themselves as a team that makes easy plays on offense and wins on defense.
Their defense finished second in both points and total yards allowed, and down the stretch of the Super Bowl, they kept the brilliant and potent San Francisco 49ers from scoring the one extra touchdown that would have earned them the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
Losing Sneed and/or Jones in free agency this offseason would be a significant blow to the Chiefs going ahead, and it would open the door for multiple other teams to dethrone them as world champs next winter.
