Newcastle United’s injury issue appears to be finally improving.
According to Luke Edwards of The Telegraph, Nick Pope and Elliot Anderson are both on the verge of making comebacks, with the former ahead of schedule after initially expecting to return in April following shoulder surgery.
Fabian Schar has recovered from an injury scare sustained in last weekend’s 2-2 draw with Bournemouth, while Joe Willock and Alexander Isak will ‘play some part’ for Arsenal after returning to training in recent days.
Pope is expected to return next month and will be eased back into the lineup, but having our No. 1 healthy for the remaining couple months of the season would be a great lift.
Anderson’s versatility will also be welcomed again, as he and Willock could provide new options and something different to a midfield that has been lacking in balance in recent weeks.
Fabian Schar should be fine after hand injury scare last weekend. Alexander Isak and Joe Willock back in training last few days and will play some part at Arsenal. Nick Pope and Elliot Anderson not too far away either. #nufc injury problems are finally starting to ease!

Isak’s comeback feels as crucial, given that Callum Wilson is expected to remain out for several months following pectoral muscle surgery last week.
