The legal tampering period in the NFL began on Monday, and teams can agree on contracts with players but cannot sign them until the new league year begins on Wednesday. The Miami Dolphins had a difficult day during the first day of NFL free agency.

Miami Dolphins Are Losing Everyone, And Tyreek Hill Gave His Thoughts

The Dolphins lost Christian Wilkins, Robert Hunt, Xavien Howard, Andrew Van Ginkel, Brandon Jones, Jerome Baker, Emmanuel Ogbah, and Keion Crossen, and one current Dolphins player spoke with X about how he feels seeing all of his old teammates go elsewhere.
Tyreek Hill, a wide receiver, tweeted: “I know Grier is in his bag secretly right now, so I’m not tripping.”

Hill is referring to Dolphins general manager Chris Grier, who has sat on his hands and done little this offseason, but Hill remains optimistic about his general manager and club.

Hill believes Grier will have something up his sleeve that no one saw coming, making losing all of these players less devastating.
Let’s go back two years, when the Dolphins unexpectedly traded for Hill, who was on the Kansas City Chiefs roster. Nobody saw that coming, and the same may be true for the team this offseason.

According to Spotrac, the Dolphins currently have roughly $5 million in cap space, which is likely one of the main reasons why the organization had to let several players go and couldn’t accomplish anything on the first day of free agency.

The Dolphins must also decide on quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who is entering the final year of his contract. The team has yet to determine whether to sign their quarterback long-term.

Miami has a lot of decisions to make this summer, so let’s see how they perform in March and April, and how it translates into September.
