Charlton Athletic manager Nathan Jones believes that going eight games unbeaten, regardless of level, is a great accomplishment.

Jones’ team were searching for their third win in a row when they visited Fleetwood Town in League One on Saturday.

They were held 1-1 by Charlie Adam’s Fleetwood, who are fighting hard to stay in League One.

The Addicks, who are gradually pulling away from the relegation zone, are currently eight games unbeaten under Jones.

The Welshman said it is a good achievement at any level of world football, and he is now concentrating on preparing his team for their away game against Exeter City.

“We’re eight games unbeaten, which is good at any level of world football,” Jones told Charlton’s reporters.

“We’ll do a combination of both [recharging the batteries and doing additional work during the international break]. We’ll have good balance, but we must maintain our rhythm and momentum.

“We have a game against Exeter away, which is a tough game, and then Stevenage, Barnsley, Wigan, so it’s a tough fixture list coming up.”

Charlton have three consecutive home games following their trip to Exeter, which Jones will want to make the most of.
