There are contradicting stories regarding Bruno Guimares being on the radar of Paris Saint-Germain. Even still, if the capital club decides to pursue the Newcastle United midfielder, it will come at a high price.
According to initial reports on Thursday, Guimares is Plan A for strengthening PSG’s midfield. Contrary to previous reports, it appears that the Brazilian is currently on PSG’s radar. On Friday, fresh details emerged, cementing the relationship between the French giants and Guimares.

Fabrizio Romano, a transfer market analyst, weighed in on the Ligue 1 club’s rumored interest in the former Olympique Lyonnais star.
“I am not aware of anything on a deal for Bruno Guimares with PSG right now,” Romano wrote for CaughtOffside. “PSG obviously likes Bruno, but I am not aware of any concrete negotiations so far.” I’ll update if anything changes, but for now, it’s extremely peaceful.”
Romano wasn’t the only one to address the rumor, as Newcastle manager Eddie Howe did as well. If Howe’s comments are correct, Guimares is unlikely to leave the Magpies in January.
If Guimares leaves, PSG will almost certainly pay the €115 million release clause. The following few days should be intriguing to watch for any fresh developments.
