Following the announcement that Stanley Mills had returned to his original club due to injury, Oxford confirmed Kyle Edwards’ departure.
Edwards, like Mills, has had his time at the club cut short due to injury, with a hamstring issue keeping him out for some time.
The 25-year-old, who joined the club in early September, made only six games for the U’s, scoring twice and assisting once.
He came in for Marcus Browne, who had a hamstring injury, and appeared to be a good addition down the left side before being hurt.
The two put in some strong performances for the club while playing on the same side as former Ipswich defender and teammate Greg Leigh.
Oxford are now keen for new players, particularly wingers, with Josh Murphy another injured player.
