Orange received verbal commitment from 2027 WR Tank White
The darts keep landing in the future, too.
Fran Brown and the Syracuse Orange football staff have spent the summer retaining and adding to the 2025 recruiting class, but that has not prevented them from thinking about the future.
On Friday, Syracuse received a commitment from Class of 2027 wide receiver Tank White of Melbourne, Florida. The 6’1″ 180 pound White has already had offers from Penn State, Pitt, Boston College, UCF, and USF.
White played as a freshman for Melbourne Central Catholic, which went 9-3 and featured West Virginia commit DayDay Farmer as a starting wide receiver. The MCC program underwent a coaching change during the season, so we’ll see if White plays there or at another private school next fall.
He becomes the first verbal commitment for 2027, and we don’t think he’ll be the last by the end of the summer.
Here’s a look at Tank in action from last season, and maybe I’m not the only one who notices a hint of Steve Ishmael…
Syracuse football’s newest commit in Class of 2025 is a big-bodied offensive lineman from Baltimore
Syracuse, New York — Skylar Harvey, an offensive line recruit in the Class of 2025 weighing more than 300 pounds, committed to the Syracuse football program on Monday.
Harvey describes himself on social media as 6-foot-7 and 335 pounds. He says he can play both offensive tackle and offensive guard. He shared his verbal promise on social media.
